I thought so too, I liked the fact that it wasn't 'sensationalised' particularly - just ordinary men living through extraordinary times. I'm half way through watching it again so will soon have caught up with you!
That was a great programme wasn't it... I think I've watched it twice at least, the Norsemen and the Saxons were really well portrayed...
