Learning New Techniques

Following on from my last blog, I decided it was high time I started dabbling around in photoshop again. It seems to have been an age since I've done so - I haven't really learnt any new techniques in over a year so I decided that was precisely what I was going to set about doing - to learn something new.

Youtube seems to be a great place to find various tutorials, so when I stumbled across this;



I decided to give it a go. This is the result of my first attempt;



and this, came about after I decided to play around and see if I could produce pleated folds as in a stage curtain;



It was supposed to look 'velvety' but I think it looks more like rubber myself! It's actually quite addictive though - faffing around seeing what effects you can come up with, so I shall undoubtedly dabble around a bit more today and maybe think about producing some larger files for use on my stock account.
