I managed to locate some free old film grain textures on the net yesterday which don't require any accreditation, so spent part of yesterday evening playing around with them in photoshop to see how they turned out. As you've probably gathered from previous posts, I've an abiding love of sepia images, but have found some of the images I've created and printed off have looked a little too contrived - too dark, too brown, too....well I'm not quite sure what, but to my eye they haven't looked entirely authentic. This photo I took of Newark Priory recently however, seems to past muster and looks pretty convincing once it's been printed - it's altogether lighter and perhaps a little less heavy handed, so finally I can say I'm pleased with something I've produced!
Fantastic, Kate!
ReplyDelete'Past' muster? I really ought to read through what I write sometimes before hitting the post button! Thanks Lynn, you're always so wonderfully supportive, it's much appreciated :-)
