Came a Horsewoman Riding By

It's been a while since I've properly dabbled around in photoshop. I don't really know why that is, but I do tend to be the type of person who goes through phases of creative and non creativity, and because of this photoshop got put on the back burner for quite a while.

Lately however I've been feeling the urge to get back in the saddle, if you'll excuse the terrible pun so decided to keep things simple by using just two images.

This one;

and this beautiful premade background;

By combining the two photo's I've come up with this manipulation (click on it to make it larger) which was really just an endeavour to see if I could make one photo realistically blend into another;

It's actually more difficult that it sounds, particularly when it comes to feet and hooves - they never seem to realistically embed into the landscapes, no matter how or where the top image gets placed. So I've cheated here a little and used the Burn Tool in photoshop to darken the floor, thereby concealing the hooves a little.

Simples!

  1. I don't have Photoshop, but I know people who do. They seem to spend all day altering their snaps, to make them look like something different. Maybe that's why my pix are so dull.

  2. I don't think that your pictures are dull at all. I think though, there's a certain allure at being able to take a few images, then combining them to make something different, particularly if you're like me, and can't paint or draw for toffee!
