Friday Fences

I sometimes love the serendipity daftness you come across in blogs. This morning I was reading Elaine’s lovely blog, Pear Tree Log, which can be found here;

and saw that she had posted a photo of a fence she discovered……well actually it’s a brick wall……during a recent visit to Burghley House in Lincolnshire. Her contribution to ‘Fridays Fences’ which is running over on;

Having something of a ‘thing’ for old or unusual fences… and doors….and windows….and gates, I decided to join in with the fun by posting one of my own photos, taken recently on my visit to the West Stow Anglo Saxon Village in Suffolk.



It's a pity there's not some 'Dreamy Door' 'round robin' daftness going on in the blog world....although there very well might be which I've just not come across yet, else I'd have posted this photo I took last Monday on a very wet visit to Sherbourne in Dorset;



which is a side door to the abbey there.

Or maybe some 'Windows Wednesday' daftness so that I could have posted either this Arts and Crafts style window also discovered in Dorset on Monday;



or this gloriously gothic bow window which I'll end with, else I'll be posting random photos of this nature here all day!
