Wistful Women and a couple of Broody Men thrown in for good measure....
....Yum! There's something incredibly lovely about old sepia portraits, especially if they feature wistful women and broody men. Or is it just me who thinks that? As promised, a few more turn of the century (19th into the 20th century that is) portraits for your delectation....
Aren't they lovely? I think my faves are the Clarence Hudson White's but I do wonder what Demarchy would have made of Photoshop had he been around nowadays. His work frequently combines photos with a more traditional form of art which you can kind of get a feel for in the photo Carrie (swan artworks)likes.
These are wonderfully haunting and artful. You have a painterly eye for beautiful photos. Wishing you the very best New Year!
