Mothering Sunday

Mothering Sunday here in the UK. Ian's mum is out of hospital, not quite back to how she was at Christmas but a lot less confused than before she went in. Unfortunately she also seems to have developed something of a mean streak whilst she's been ill - she won't have it that she was extremely confused and thinks that we've all conspired to make her appear foolish. Some of the subsequent vitriol that has mostly been directed at Ian's sisters has been quite difficult to handle, but we're told that paranoia and denial is all part of the process of early stage dementia, so it's very much a case of gritting our teeth and getting on with it for now. Both Ian and myself caught the norvovirus whilst visiting her in hospital and I now think I've got an ear/sinus/throat infection on top, so all in all, it hasn't been the most relaxing few weeks!
